Cultivating Resilience

We all experience pain and suffering in our lives. How we handle these events determine our quality of life. If fed, darkness and pain linger. We need to find ways to move these experiences along. Or they fester and deepen.

Overscheduled and overstimulated, children have little chance to hear and know themselves.  They deserve to trust themselves. The deserve to recognize that they have power over darkness. It concerns me that our youth have little resources to understand themselves and their relationship to their community. Yoga and art offer creative channels to do so. Tools learned on the yoga mat and in an art studio cultivate resilience.

For this reason, I've teamed with yoga instructor, Kristie McCourt. We are offering two camp programs this summer in the Philadelphia suburbs. It is our mission to plant seeds and offer tools for children to utilize in their own cultivation. At these camps, children will have space to connect with their bodies, relax and honor their creative voices. Learn more on my Summer Camps 2015 page.
